Two update seminars covering backflow prevention assembly field test procedures, 10th Edition/backflow prevention assembly repair and lead-free issues have been scheduled. The first seminar will be on Nov. 3, 2010 at Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas. The second seminar will be held on December 1, 2010 at the Long Beach Water Treatment Plant, 2950 Redondo Ave., Long Beach, CA.

Flyers for these events will be available here soon.

MISSING OR STOLEN BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLIES: Backflow prevention assembly theft has become a significant problem in Southern California. Because of the importance of this issue, the ABPA SoCal Chapter has established a section on our web site devoted to publishing reports of missing/stolen backflow prevention assemblies.

HELP WANTED: The SoCal Chapter is currently looking for volunteers to serve as Chapter Secretary, Riverside County Director and San Bernardino County Director. Please contact Chapter President Pete Peters at (909) 987-2591 for more information, or by e-mail.
